Although, I have heard of dish featured in some Chinese places, it's never as typical and popular as its cousin meal, Orange Chicken. I personally favor it to orange chicken though, cos in which orange chicken is nice, the tanginess of the lemon within dish cuts the sweetness and gives the tastes much more measurement. It’s tart, tangy, crispy, nice and addictive.

I think this dish tends to make a fantastic appetizer, although it’s mostly known as a main meal. For an appetizer i favor rendering it somewhat drier, but if you’re which makes it as a primary dish supported with rice or veggies, i recommend adding more chicken stock into sauce to cut the tartness a feeling and include most of the sauce to the chicken.

It’s an excellent effortless meal plus one you may make ahead, so long as you don’t blend the sauce in till you’re willing to eat. Here’s the step-by-step image recipe…

Ingredients

  1. 2 big chicken breasts
  2. 1 egg
  3. 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  4. 2 tbsp Sherry (or Shaoxing Wine)
  5. 1 tsp sesame oil
  6. 2 lemons (zest + Juice)
  7. 3/4 cup corn starch + 1/2 tbsp mixed in slightly water
  8. 1/2 cup chicken stock
  9. 1/3 glass sugar
  10. Salt according to style

Instructions
