    Apr 22, 2011 | By Lindsay

Ecover honored Earth Day by throwing an eco-chic cocktail party at a dazzling penthouse apartment in the heart of New York City.  Celebrity interior designer Robin Wilson hosted “Bringing Earth Day Home,” and guests, including the winners from our exciting sweepstakes, glided from room to room, learning how they can lead healthier, “greener” lives.

While sipping organic wine from Yellow + Blue and all-natural beverages from Dry Soda, attendees had the opportunity to chat with wonderful showcase companies who focus daily on providing green and chic lifestyle solutions.  Along with the mixing and mingling, guests were fully satiated with organic hors d’oeuvres and desserts by the Choice Cooking Company who also provided a cheese demonstration featuring locally sourced products.

Conscious fashion designer Suzanne Rae, beautifully displayed her sustainably and locally sourced clothing in the “bedroom” near an organic mattress and bedding by The Clean Bedroom, who were showing guests how they could sleep better and healthier. Celadon and Celery, a green floral company in every sense of the word, wowed the crowd with their magical floral arrangements. Nearby, RePlayGround demonstrated turning trash into treasure, showing guests how to create their very own DIY business card holders – made from recycled cereal boxes. In the bathroom, Starre Vartan, founder of Eco-chick.com, displayed some of her favorite all-natural products, chatting with guests about detoxifying their lives and using healthier products for themselves while standing among Coyuchi organic bathrobes, towels and wash clothes.

The evening’s host, Robin Wilson, shared her enthusiasm for Ecover’s event; “I’m excited to be in this beautiful loft, in the middle of Manhattan, celebrating Earth Day. Ecover who is over 30 years old is taking the right steps to teach people about what they can do for their interior space and their home environment.”

As the evening came to an end, Ecover sent delighted guests home with re-usable gift bags filled to the brim with Ecover products and organic Bigelow Tea.

Ecover products were featured in every room of the “house” (plus the gift bags)

Earth Day may happen once a year, but Ecover keeps your health all year long!
