Ecover Offers Advice On How To Say Thanks To Dad On Father’s Day
Dear old Dad. He’s great with the kids and an all-around good guy … so let’s celebrate him on Father’s Day, June 17th! In anticipation of Father’s Day 2012 Ecover is offering a few ways to spend the day with Dad and also some sustainable gift ideas he’ll truly appreciate!
Our first suggestion is simply to get outside and be together. A family walk or hike provides exercise and tons of time to talk and “bond” as a family. Similarly, a visit to a park, lake or botanical garden is a great way to create family memories and share time with dad.
If you are having a family gathering, we know Dad will appreciate a healthy and robust meal full of sustainable or organic foods. Consider a breakfast of Hearty Oatmeal Pancakes … or a One-Pot Pasta dinner!
Finally, when it comes to cards and gifts, we’re here to say that sustainability is a cinch! The kids can make cards from recycled cardboard… or paint their father a picture, or present him with hand-made certificates promising anything from chores around the house to a backrub, to a family game night! Of course, we believe that the gift he’ll cherish most is just time together.
So happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there, and we hope you have a day filled with family, fun and fresh air!
